Brief description of the project
The proposed mobility project entitled "Social Integration of Refugees - taking into account cultural aspects" within the framework of the DAAD program "University Dialogue with the Islamic World" aims to carry out practical projects - to be worked out - Palestine, Jordan and Germany. The practical projects address the question under which conditions refugees are integrated into different social subsystems, taking into account country, system specific and globalized cultural sources.
To implement the proposed mobility project, lecturers, students and actors from civil society, humanitarian aid and welfare Palestine, Jordan and Germany will jointly carry out, evaluate and present on-site practical projects. A mutual visit is planned to realize the proposed mobility project.
The proposed mobility project creates (1) a transnational and regional network Palestine, Jordan and Germany that produces sustainable best practice examples to make a social and scientific contribution in the debate on the integration of refugees. Students can (2) further develop their scientific and intercultural skills in an inspiring environment of cultural diversity through the implementation of the practical projects. Universities and actors in civil society, humanitarian aid and welfare services (3) gain the opportunity, through practical projects, to expand and improve their services.
As a result of this win-win situation, the project will create a network that will address the refugee question multi-perspectively and effectively beyond the project duration. The proposed mobility project will create a sustainable connection between the partner institutions (Al Balqa University -Jordania-, Al-Najah University - Palestine, University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal, University of Applied Sciences Neubrandenburg) and a network of dedicated actors in the refugee work.

Projektbeschreibung
Im Rahmen des durch den DAAD geförderten Kooperationsprojekts „Integration von Flüchtlingen in Deutschland, Palästina und Jordanien“ arbeitet ein Projektteam aus vier Studierenden der Hochschule Neubrandenburg aus dem Fachbereich Soziale Arbeit, Bildung und Erziehung unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Susanne Dreas, Frau Prof. Dr. Kraehmer und Prof. Dr. Northoff in den kommenden sechs Monaten an einem eigenen Subprojekt. Ziel ist es eine differenzierte Darstellung der Kriterien für eine gelungene Integration von Geflüchteten in Neubrandenburg aus drei verschiedenen Perspektiven zu erarbeiten: Erstens aus der Perspektive der politischen und administrativen Akteure in Neubrandenburg und Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, zweitens aus der Perspektive von Geflüchteten in Neubrandenburg und drittens aus der Perspektive von Bewohner*innen der Stadt Neubrandenburg. Hierzu werden Exkursionen zu und Gespräche mit einer Flüchtlingsaufnahmeeinrichtung, sowie mit Einrichtungen der Zivilgesellschaft und der Wohlfahrtshilfe unternommen und verschiedene Methoden der qualitativen und quantitativen Sozialforschung wie das Experteninterview, quantitative Erhebungen an öffentlich prominenten Stellen und Gruppendiskussionen sowie Workshops angewandt. Neben der Erreichung des Projektziels steht darüber hinaus auch das Lehren, Lernen und Anwenden der empirischen Sozialforschung und des allgemeinen wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens in enger Zusammenarbeit zwischen der erfahrenen Projektleitung und den studentischen Projektteilnehmer*innen im Fokus. Hierzu wird das Projektteam gemeinsam mit den Projektpartnern aus Palästina und Jordanien auch an einem zweiwöchigen Evaluations- Schreib-Workshop an der Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal in Magdeburg teilnehmen, bei dem die gemeinsame Auswertung der erhobenen Daten, sowie der interkulturelle Dialog über die Interpretation der Daten und der Aufbau eines interkulturelles Karrierenetzwerks im Fokus stehen. Der gemeinsame Abschluss des Projekts und die Ergebnisdarstellung wird dann im Rahmen einer Konferenz in Al Baqa, Jordanien stattfinden, bei der auch über eine mögliche Fortführung des Projekts gesprochen werden soll.
