Access to the library
You can access the library at ground level via the entrance at Brodaer Straße 2 and also via the foyer of the university (Building 1); the doors open automatically. The spaces between the bookshelves are wheelchair accessible. All floors within the library are accessible by elevator.
Parking
There are disabled parking spaces near the main entrance to the university.
Help and information
We are happy to help if you have any difficulties using the library (for example, removing media from the shelves). We can set aside media for you and have it picked up by someone you trust; please provide your library card.
Homepage
Our website allows you to find information in advance and save yourself a trip. The pages are responsive and automatically adapt to the screen size of your device. The font size can be adjusted.
Web forms are available for library registration or interlibrary loan identification, which you can fill out and send by email.
You can search the library catalog from home and see whether the books you need are available. For better orientation, the library catalog displays the locations of the items using our room information system V:Scout. A barrier-free view is available. You have access to your loan account and can check your loan periods yourself.
Interlibrary loans can be ordered online, and most copies are sent directly to our customers via a download link.
Electronic Media
In the library and throughout the campus network, you have full-text access to numerous electronic media. You can also connect to the university network with your own device via Eduroam.
Outside the campus network, the library's e-media are available to university members via a VPN client.
Student theses from Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences, however, are available as free full texts (Open Access) via our library catalog or the Digibib online.
Book Scanners
A modern scanner is available on each floor of the library, where you can digitize texts free of charge.
Automated Media Checkout and Return Machines
Our self-service checkout machines allow you to borrow items independently during all opening hours. The height of the machine is adjustable. Media can be returned on the ground floor of the library via a smart return shelf, or you can use our external return machine. This machine is available 24/7 and is located next to our entrance door at Brodaer Straße 2.
