QLeVer Campus 2026: Designing Teaching Together — Festival of Higher-Education in MV
3 December 2026 | Venue: University of Greifswald
What defines good teaching?
And how is it shaped by the interplay of perspectives, disciplines, technologies and the people involved?
These questions will guide the first Higher-Education Festival in MV, where students, student tutors and lecturers come together to come together to connect, share ideas, and reflect on our experiences.
The event focusses on interactive formats, offers insights into ongoing projects, and creates space for shared reflection on the conditions that enable excellent teaching. We understand the 'Festival' as a vibrant space in which diverse ways of learning, thinking and working together become visible and tangible. We celebrate the processes of co-creation, experimentation and open dialogue.
Organized as part of the collaborative QLeVer project, in which six universities across Mecklenburg-Vorpommern work jointly to advance teaching excellence, the festival will take place on 3 December 2026 at the University of Greifswald.
We warmly invite contributions from everyone engaged in teaching and learning - students, student tutors, teaching assistants, and lecturers alike.
What we are looking for?
We invite contributions that not only present ideas or projects but actively
foster encounter, participation and exchange.
Guiding questions for your submission are:
What is your contribution about?
and
What does it make possible?
Discussion? Hands-on experimentation? New perspectives?
Submissions may be fully developed concepts, or they can be intentionally unfinished, exploratory formats that invite feedback and further development.
Our Approach
Co-creation is both the focus and the guiding principle of the festival. We encourage you to engage in dialogue, bring in your own perspectives, and shape your contribution accordingly.
The festival is structured along two dimensions:
Perspectives (thematic Hashtags) and Interaction Spaces.
Both can be combined freely.
Interaction Spaces
define how participants engage and collaborate:
Resonance Rooms
discursive & reflective
Spaces for exchange, shifting perspectives and collective reflection.

Workshops
practical & experimental
Spaces for hands-on exploration, developing ideas and embracing 'failing forward'.

Campus Fair
open & connecting
A lively setting for encounters, spontaneous conversations and interactive insights.

Perspectives
highlight key thematic areas: #(co-)creating with attitude • #interdisciplinary co-creation • #co-creation with stakeholders • #co-creation with technologies
#(co)creating with attitude
This theme situates teaching within its broader context:
How do institutional structures, teaching cultures and societal developments shape teaching and learning, and how do we respond?
We welcome contributions that address questions of attitude, responsibility and the framework of teaching, e.g.:
- engaging with controversial societal issues
- transformations within higher education
- diversity, inclusion, and social inequality
- pressures and conflicts in everyday teaching and student life
- collaboration with external partners
#(co)creating interdisciplinarity
How can inter- or transdisciplinary teaching be designed to succeed?
We invite contributions that explore cross-disciplinary formats
such as the development of media literacy, critical and system thinking, creativity or future skills.
#(co)creating with stakeholders
How are teaching formats shaped through collaboration with different partners?
We are looking for contributions that engage with cooperation with students, practitioners and wider societal actors.
#(co)creating with technologies
How are digital tools, AI and hybrid formats transforming teaching and learning?
We welcome contributions that present practical applications as well as critical reflections on the use of technology in educational contexts.
Formats and duration
We welcome a wide range of formats e.g.
focus groups, live surveys, short discussion-based inputs, simulations, fishbowl discussions, workshops,
project presentations and open formats at the Campus Fair.
Standard sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes.
Contributions within the Campus Fair may vary in length and can be offered multiple times.
Unsure whether your idea fits?
The festival thrives on diverse and experimental approaches.
Smaller-scale ideas or contributions still in development are very welcome!
We are happy to provide feedback on your concept or formats in advance.
