Evaluation
The evaluation of teaching and study programmes at the Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences is an important element in the continuous quality assurance of teaching. The teaching evaluation serves to assess individual courses with regard to structural and process quality, while the degree programme evaluation focuses on the quality of the results of an entire degree programme.
With their voluntary participation in the teaching and programme evaluation, students have the opportunity to make an important contribution to the quality of teaching at Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences.
A standardised survey instrument is used to measure the quality of teaching, which can be extended to meet the specific needs of a subject area. The students evaluate the courses in terms of their structure, organisation, design and implementation as well as their own participation.
For each degree programme, in addition to the teaching evaluation at the end of a course, the competencies to be acquired through the course will be measured in future. In a target/actual comparison, the competence levels to be defined by the lecturers (target variable) will be compared with the actual competence levels achieved as perceived by the students (result variable). This ensures the continuous overall orientation of a degree programme.
