Evaluation criteria

1st selection stage: Evaluation of the written idea outline

  • Innovation and originality of the project (To what extent is the idea innovative? Does something like this or something similar already exist? What is unique about the idea? What is better about the idea than alternatives? What specific problem does the idea solve?)
  • Customer benefit (Who are your customers? (e.g. age, gender, income, profession, purchasing behaviour, private or business customers)? Where are your customers? What benefits does your service offer this target group? What needs/problems do your customers have?)
  • Utilisation prospects and market potential (Is there a real market and target groups for the idea? To what extent are the market and target groups defined or narrowed down? Does the idea have a unique selling point? What makes the idea unique from the customer's point of view? What opportunities and risks are there in the potential market? Are there potential competitors?)
  • Feasibility/probability of realisation (Can the idea also be implemented in practice? Are there real start-up opportunities? How likely is the realisation? Are partners possibly necessary for realisation? Are further development steps necessary?)
  • Motivation and competences of the participants (What is your motivation to start a business? What qualifications/professional experience and licences do you have? What industry knowledge do you have? What commercial knowledge do you have? What are your particular strengths?

 

2nd selection stage: Evaluation of the presentation

  • Presentation (e.g. use of media, adherence to time limit)
  • Entrepreneurial personality (qualifications/experience of the participants)
  • Answering the questions/discussion
