Cooperative doctorates are doctoral programmes in which a university without the right to award doctorates (such as the HS NB) works together with a university. While the university takes on the formal supervision and awarding of the doctoral degree, the research usually takes place at the Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences - closely supervised by professors there.
The HS NB assumes increasing responsibility for the professional and methodological quality as well as the structured course of the doctorate. The close cooperation with the partner universities is based on clear agreements on joint supervision.
