Degree: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Vocational Education Studies in Nursing and Healthcare, 7 semesters

The bachelor's degree program in vocational education for health care professions is designed to respond to the strong demand for vocational school teachers as a result of the retirement-related teacher shortage.

We offer a pedagogical course of study that combines subject-specific knowledge from the fields of health and nursing as well as psychology and prevention and the associated subject didactics. The study program is oriented towards the classical structure of teacher training programs (teaching profession type 5) in the field of vocational pedagogy through a lived cooperation with the consecutive master's program at the University of Rostock. The study program is designed in such a way that a lateral entry is possible for graduates of the bachelor study program Nursing Science/Nursing Management or Health Sciences.

The Bachelor's degree program in Vocational Pedagogy for Health Care Professions is accredited.
