  • Quality and safety of food and feed

Research topics

Agricultural engineering
The aim of the research area is to improve the health and performance of livestock as well as the working conditions for humans. The Precision Farming division includes the networking and technical design of stationary and mobile agricultural machines as well as the associated sensors.
The aim is to optimize the techniques and processes of agricultural technology in a location-oriented manner in order to produce agricultural products in a manner which is resource-efficient, environmentally friendly, animal-friendly, high-quality and economic.

  • Sensor detection of animal parameters
  • Quarter individual milking system
  • Technical and ethological assessment of the various sections in agricultural engineering
  •  Modeling production chain milk / plant
  • Milk quality assessment
  • testing of milk meters (ICAR)
