Alexandra Amschler

I am Alexandra, 23 years old and am currently studying for a Master's degree in Geodesy and Geoinformatics. Four years ago, after graduating from high school, I was faced with a mountain of opportunities. Why not study something that fits my individual interests? In addition to the classical engineering sciences, such as mechanical engineering or civil engineering, there are numerous others that also have a lot of potential. My path then led me from Bavaria to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, where a few months ago I successfully completed my Bachelor's degree in Geodesy and Metrology at our university. My expectations were fully met: small working groups, optimal support, very good job opportunities and the Mecklenburg Lake District right on my doorstep.

What makes me so enthusiastic about the Bachelor's and Master's programmes? Definitely the high practical part, which is indispensable especially in the engineering field, the chance to go abroad for a few weeks without a lot of organisational chaos and the personal development within the shortest time. My Master's thesis is due next year, and here, too, I am faced with a mountain of opportunities. I am looking forward to the coming challenges and can only recommend my professor's sentence to everyone: "It is important to have the courage to simply try out ways".

Hey, my name's Sophie and I'm 24 years old. Currently I am in the 1st semester of the Master's program in Geodesy and Geoinformatics.

Originally I come from Jena and moved to Hamburg to study. There I completed my bachelor's degree in media technology. It was only very late in my Bachelor's studies that I realized that the possible career prospects didn't fully suit me. At this time I also discovered the study of geoinformatics and decided to change my field of study. That's why I moved to Neubrandenburg University a year ago and took a few basic modules. All my expectations were confirmed. In the meantime, I have settled in very well here and am very satisfied with my studies.
