Welcome to the Language Centre's homepage. You are here because you take the matter of how you can improve your chances in today's competitive job market seriously. Learning a second or third language will, however, do a lot more for you than improve your employment prospects. When you learn a new language you get to know the cultural background of the language, you increase not only your communication abilities, you gain a new perspective on the world; you see your own language and culture in a different light and can better understand it. Investing a little time and effort in acquiring another language will greatly improve your "soft skills" including, of course, inter-cultural competence.
All the language courses offered by the Language Centre are rated according to the CEFR   Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching Assessment which "provides a basis for the mutual recognition of language qualifications, thus facilitating educational and occupational mobility".
